Centrewood Homestead is a very large house with beautiful gardens set in park-like grounds surrounded by native bush, close to rugged cliffs and sandy beaches with seals, penguins and seabirds. We offer B&B in a private wing of the homestead, comprising 2 bedrooms, bathroom and very large living room / kitchen. Experience the space and grandeur of yesteryear for yourself!
Centrewood is an ideal place to relax and unwind in private surroundings away from the pressure of tourist resorts, with plenty of local activities closeby. These include local wildlife, walking trails, including the culturally significant Huriawa Peninsula with Maori interpretation panels and commentary. Centrewood is also a handy base for exploring Dunedin (40mins) and Oamaru (1hr) and is only 10 mins from the highway.
For a couple $295/night, basic breakfast provisions included. The second bedroom is available for extra members of the same group for $100 / night per person up to a maximum group size of 5.
Note that we do single party bookings only so your group has sole use of the facilities, (maximum of 5 guests).
Supplies, meals, including ready meals, are available at Palmerston (10 mins).
